Energy from Waste Plant Monitoring
IAMC were contracted to provide staff to assist with the monitoring of emissions from a London Energy from Waste facility during the commissioning trials of the plant.
The plant is one of a new generation of waste facilities required to deal with the increasing quantities of waste generated by the capital.
Emissions monitoring was required to ensure the efficiency of the abatement plant met with the design criteria and the emissions met the requirements of the Waste Incineration Directive. Monitoring for dioxins and furans, poly aromatic hydrocarbons, trace metals, sulphur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide and particulate was undertaken.
